About Live-in Caregiver Program

The Live-in Caregiver Program is designated by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) and detailed requirements can be reviewed at www.cic.gc.ca/english/work/caregiver. In order to be eligible for the Live-in Caregiver Program in Canada, the applicants need:

Live-in Caregivers are individuals who are qualified to provide care for children, elderly persons or persons with disabilities in private homes without supervision. Live-in Caregivers must live in the private home where they work in Canada. The duration of the program is usually two years as the Live-in Caregivers are able to apply for a Permanent Residency after completing 24 months of authorized full-time employment in Canada.
